Cornish limpets

Limpets, which are almost never eaten these days, were eaten quite readily in coastal
areas at a time when all protein resources had to be exploited.

Limpets
Salt
Pepper
Vinegar
Water

Wash any sand from the limpets.
Boil in water until they slip easily from their shells.
Serve cold with vinegar, salt and pepper.
