Margaritas

A slightly tart blend of tequila, crushed  ice, lime juice, and Triple Sec, an orange flavoured liqueur.
Classically, margaritas are served in chilled, salt rimmed cocktail glasses.  Several sources claim credit for having created this cocktail, but, whatever it's origin, the margarita has been popular for many years.

Juice of one lime
Table salt
4 ice cubes, crushed
11/2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce Triple Sec or other orange flavoured liqueur

Fill a small bowl with 1/2 inch ( 1cm ) of salt
Rub the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with a slice of lime, and press the rim of the glass into the salt.  Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker, cover, and shake vigorously. Strain the resultant mixture
into the prepared glass.
